In June 2009, 30 national winners of The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards attended a hands-on creative development workshop entitled Creativity and Social Change with professional artist and activist Ken Wong of the Face to Face AIDS Project. The workshop took place at the Action Center to End World Hunger in New York City. Following a discussion of how art can be used for social change with Ken Wong, students worked together to write and produce their own video petition on key global issues.
