Soccer Fans in Singapore congregate to protest against exorbitant prices for viewing of world cup finals. Telcos Singtel and Starhub charges, what is about 7 times more than 4 years ago. Many are dismayed at their inability to negotiate better prices with FIFA or their competition to be unhealthy, that ultimately punishes consumers. The passion for soccer seems to be exploited by corporate greed, be it FIFA, Singtel or Starhub. A strong collective stand to say NO to the telcos and a landmark protest, a first in Singapore amongst soccer fans.
