Once again, the VideoHotpot guys have delivered another entertaining creation! The team at Chinesepod.com has continued pioneering this field of on-demand education with the third edition of video language lessons. This new video is brought to you by Tayhler and Ryan, with some assistance from a few close friends, both animate and inanimate. This episode focuses on making a reservation at a busy restaurant, acting as a supplement to the previous lesson; how to order at a restaurant. The current lesson aims to teach the viewer some high-frequency phrases and the typical questions/responses needed to reserve the best seat in the house! So, with that in mind, leave your dry educational expectations at home, and get ready to learn, laugh and enjoy!
I'm fascinated. Two years ago, I couldn't even understand 你好。Today, I can understand this conversation.

This experimental video has nothing to do with the standard of excellence as set up by ChinesePod. The puppets, the script and the perfomance are all very poor and disorganized. But the most horrible thing is to give the pinyin transcription, leaving out the Chinese characters. This is all the more senseless taking into consideration that it is a video, to view... in short: unpalatable.
