  • omg this is tom wolfe? Is this really him, I'd expect a much smarter person. This is ignorance and fear he is harboring.

  • Mr Wolfe is way overstating Wilson's position!

  • E.O. Wilson is perpendicular to John Locke. Our constitution is 50 percent John Locke. So, we are wrong and should revolt.

  • seems lucid to me ...anyone should comment freely especially on tv or media about their perceptions in regards to this absurd earthbound life

  • Dear Tom Wolfe,

You are in way over your head. You're speaking about matters that are far above your paygrade. Most egregiously, you're misrepresenting E.O.Wilson's game-changing ideas. Please remain in your intellectual comfort zone, so as to not embarrass yourself any further.

Really, listening to some of these authorial icons with a presumed intelligence attempt to comment meaningfully on such erudite matters is often a facade crumbler. Hey Tom, make stories, and leave sense to others.

  • Yes, it is Tom Wolfe, but no, he isn't parroting some line from the PC Bible, he is simply paraphrasing a great man of science.

  • Mr. Wolfe's book "Hooking Up" contains this essay about Edward Wilson. Good book, very interesting.
