This is another brilliant Adam Curtis documentary originally produced for the BBC. It talks about the modern political realities, where the policies came from and the massive failures of those ideals and how they have ended up exactly where they did not want to be.

This episode starts in the Cold War and shows the seeds that were sown to produce the modern political reality.

Every statement has a factual base, with interviews from the actual people discussed in the documentary (or at least peers or friends). If you pay attention to Curtis' documentaries you will notice that he often won't criticise many of those involved, but analyses how their actions, however well-meaning, cause unintended and sometimes catastrophic consequences.

You can criticise his opinions of "modern freedom", but game theory is openly admitted as being applied to the rest of society.

Yes, but game theory was invented by a paranoid schizophrenic. By admitting that it can be applied to the rest of society, the elites prove that their method of crowd control is based on selfishness and thus is inherently evil due to the risk of violence.

This is why 911 happened: because game theory actually leads to the rich getting richer at the cost of the poor getting poorer.

Thus the root of today's evil is the fallacy of public good.

Schopenhauer maintained that it was mans desire to survive and create progress that caused most of the catasprope in the world. The Will to Survive is the enemy of the Will to Live. M

Yeah, you need to be somewhat educated on these subjects to really understand what he's saying. When I show these documentaries to ignorant people they get upset and don't get it. When I show them to intelligent educated people they're love it.

Just link me your documentary is real quick

You're really projecting a lot here. I don't he ever insinuated there was some utopia before game theory.

You realize these documentaries are historical FACT right? Also how is it propaganda if it supposes no course of action. Do you even know what propaganda is?

As far as I see it empathy has effectively been removed from the system to simplify and control humans. Possibly one of the saddest things I've learned.

Adam Curtis' Logic: Specific human beings are boogie men who create human nature as we go, and employ it on people with lesser income/power. Instead of the fucking.obvious.truth that humans have always been monstrously chaotic and selfish. Even altruism is monstrously selfish: if it didn't yield *selfish* rewards to the individual, humans wouldn't engage in it. So altruism is just a trick of words. Curtis and Peter Joseph are both masters at pretending benevolence exists where there is none.
