http://www.euronews.com/ Another journalist in Russia has paid the ultimate price for digging into the truth with their life.

28 year-old Kazbek Guekkiiev was shot three times in the head in Naltchik, the capital of the small Caucasian republic of Kabardino-Balkaria. He was approached in the street by a man demanding if he was the presenter of the local state televison's news programme, and when he replied 'yes', he was attacked.

Earlier this year journalists working at the television station received a videorecorded threat, naming some of them and demanding their resignations.

Russia has become one of the most dangerous countries in which to practise journalism, with its southern Republics more dangerous than anywhere else in the Federation.
