"Freedom" was released in 1984, becoming the group's second UK #1 hit.
Wham! had already enjoyed a successful 1984 by the time Freedom was issued in the autumn of the year. Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go had given them their first UK #1 and had then reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 in the USA. George had then gone to #1 with a solo single, Careless Whisper.
Freedom, a largely uncontroversial song, was #1 in the UK for three weeks and featured on the album Make It Big, which was issued at the same time. Of Wham!'s four UK #1 singles, Freedom sold the fewest copies.

Without a doubt ....the Top song of of the 80s....It encapsules both joy and witty innocence of that era.....A true homage to the Motown sound....and last but not least ....the great voice of George Michael.

some you people really don't appreciate Andrew. Andrew is more than just the other guy from wham!. he helped GM become the charming man he is today and transformed his look before wham! debuted.
