Hands reaching out in friendship, the heart symbolizing love. the crown meaning loyalty.its only a symbol of romantic love if the heart on the ring faces in towards the person wearing the ring. then it means the person is "taken".Everyone in my family has the same claddagh ring to sybollize our family loyalty.

this song is one of the best ive heard from this band so far

I have the CD and the track listing on the back has this song (Track 9 ) as being 'Leopardstown Races' and Track 10 as Claddagh but in the insert with the lyrics, Track 9 is 'Claddagh'. This is probably where the confusion has come from. Considering that Track 10 mentions Leopardstown Races a heap of times, I'm quite confident that this song is not it.

No matter what the web says, this is really obviously claddagh. Seriously "Well this ring means I love you", how can one actually believe this song is about the Leopardstown Races? Especially since the chorus of the song that you seem to believe is claddagh starts with "So i'm going down , going down to Leopardstowns". You'd have to be deaf to believe that the song you just heard is Leopardstown Races.

this is the wrong song this leapardtown races i think

@0000psy this mistake is widespread, for exemple, if you look for the lyrics of claddagh on the web you find something else. :/
this song is called leopardstown races. claddagh is the song before this one on the cd agony. both are tight tracks

The Claddagh ring (Irish: fáinne Chladaigh) is a traditional Irish ring given as a token of love or worn as a wedding ring. So where can you find anything about leopardstown races in a wedding ring story? song next to this one is talking about leopardstown races, what a coincidence. its enough to listen the lyrics.
