  • Great Plane. Great Pilot. Great Video. That was just perfect. Thank you.

  • graceful and beautiful, thank you for sharing

  • Is this one of Achim Engel's Fokker D.vII planes?

  • Truly amazing, many thanks for sharing this video with us !!!

  • That plane is so slow and graceful it is hard to imagine that it was once one of the deadliest aircraft in the world.

  • @therealgsicht is this a diiiau?

  • Just unbelievably beautiful!!!

  • Don,t reconize the markings?

  • @nossrep70 100% ? Are you quite sure they had starter motors?

  • The aircraft is a 100% authentic reproduction of the fokker DVII. The engine is an original 160 hp Mercedes DIIIa made in 1918. The machine guns are also original 08/15s. If you would restore an genuine WWI DVII to flying condition the enigne and the MGs would probably be the only original parts remaining in the final product.

  • its a replica or a restored one( i want it to be the 2nd)?

    nevertheless pure awesome

  • 15 minutes of pure awesome!:)

  • @FBVikS Mercedes! check out aerodrome.se

  • Bravo!!!

    BMW powered?

  • What a beautiful, nice sounding plane!!

It reminds me on "hells Angels"

btw. the rabbit in the background seems to be interrested too.. lol he´s there until he lands, isn´t he?

  • Very interesting film. I had not previously seen much in the way of German WW1 era aircraft and had not appreciated quite how robust they were.

  • Looks and sounds amazing - what a beautiful machine.
