Yep it's not so much the lock thats the issue in many manufacturs cases (some it is lol) it'a almost ALWAYS the slot is soft plastic, a $2600 dollar dell XPS is plastic K slot for crap sakes. This makes ANY lock Useless! they all pull out just the same. They need LONG barbs that grip the other way round inside the slot, not at a shallow angle as shown in this diagram. Your better off drilling 2 holes far appart and looping strong biker cable, way harder to rip out than this or any K.

I like the concept.
But in reality, the thief would just smash the computer if he couldn't take it for himself. Something very similar to that happened at my library a few months ago.
