Motorhead - Overkill.
"Overkill" is a song by the heavy metal band Motörhead. It was released in 7" and 12" vinyl pressings in 1979. It is covered with B-side "Too Late Too Late" which appears on the CD re-issues of the Overkill album. Early copies came with a free 'Overkill' badge. On March 9, 1979 the band played this song on the BBC TV Top of the Pops show, to support the release of the single. A song that induces mixed feelings at live concerts, "Overkill" is usually played as the last 'encore' and normally represents the very last chance for fans to "strut their stuff" at a live gig. The artwork on the sleeve was created by Joe Petagno, based on his design for the album's cover.
In 1995, during the recording of the album Load, "Overkill", "Damage Case", "Stone Dead Forever" and "Too Late Too Late" were covered by Metallica, as a birthday gift for Lemmy, and released in 1996 on their "Hero of the Day" single. The single was released as a two CD single, the "Overkill" track is the second track on the first CD single, and was also used on the second disc of their 1998 cover album Garage Inc.. The single reached 60 on the U.S. Hot 100, 1 on the U.S. Mainstream Rock, and 17 on the U.K. Singles charts. The song was covered by Overkill, who took their name from the Overkill album by Motörhead, and appears as the first track on their 1999 album Coverkill.
Overkill
Only way to feel the noise is when it's good and loud, So good you can't believe it's screaming with the crowd, Don't sweat it, get it back to you, Overkill, Overkill
On your feet you feel the beat, it goes straight to your spine, Shake your head you must be dead if it don't make you fly, Don't sweat it, get it back to you, Overkill, Overkill
Know your body's made to move, feel it in your guts Rock 'n' roll ain't worth the name if it don't make you strut, Don't sweat it, get it back to you, Overkill, Overkill

You should listen to my music collection, I pride myself in the fact that I have so many over 10 minute songs, song getting to over 40 minutes. In my opinion shortness is a limitation, as longer songs can be more developed, not all are obviously, but the good ones like Shine on You Crazy Diamond are amazing, I can safely say that I like Shine more than any Metal song I've heard.
Why is there an arguement about Metallica on this video, both are great bands, Metallica themselves are fans of Motorhead, and Motorhead likes Metallica, so what's the arguement.
metaIIica can suck as many cocks as they want and get as high on beer as groupie whores on cocaine but they cant sound as good as moterhead them stupid pop metaI fags
Metallica is shit now. Lars is shit, he sued his fans. Cliff Burton is who made Metallica. Metallicas first 3 albums will forever remain as 3 of the best albums ever made. Cliff made Metallica what they were, he is the reason they are so famous. without Cliff, or even Jason Newsted, they suck. And Justice for All is a great album. but Metallica suck now.
