  • Shima is not American … she is from South Africa, halfway between the West and India by trade routes. The obvious place for an authentic western-understandable tantra to arise.

  • Cont'd from the post that begins 'glazzurus...'

If the populace recognizes its power, who could then control it? Neither the priests not the politicians could then control people. And so human sexuality struggles to emerge, like the blade of grass that makes its way up through the cracks in the cement in the sidewalk...against all odds.

  • glazzarus..says "Strange...etc....It is not so strange if you know a little more about the history of tantra and the fear and suppression that has surrounded such an earthy body based spiritual path, throughout the centuries. As I understand it the Brahmins, who were highly restrictive of sexuality, all but stamped out the tantra sects, as did the Christians with the early pagan religions. Fear follows human sexuality, because if it's inherent power.

  • Strange is that Tantra exist so long in India, and it happen that Americans (exist in last 200+years) know it better than any? Did they? No they don't.

  • actually it emcompasses EVERYTHING........dark/light good/evil, sexuality/celebacy....it's an AND. the west and our grammar is OR....yes or no.......and so forth, it is the more difficult path.......easier to do what the tribe tells you...but some of us just are not that sort of person. play safe.....be well, eventually we are all older......

Yes, I know what You mean. But I gave up this discussion and don`t use the word "tantra" anymore. Because in the west today all people think tantra is a kind of "sacred" sex or erotic massage. It is not possible to try to tell people, that tantra is originaly a very deep spiritual philosopie from india. No one will understand. Sex sells and the erotic lobby has totally made a demand on tantra.

  • wtf!!! i thought you were 60!!!tantra is not about sex it is about first about understanding the nature of your mind,Samsara is the result of our negative emotions and yes dear Samsarsa is dangerous, hell is a state of mind.

  • Awesome set of videos. Some really great ideas in here. I especially love the idea of boundaries and what is real threat. The idea of respecting boundaries is a celebrated one, yet a boundary is where your growing stops, to respect them in some instances is to respect the veryt hing that holds back. There is a glow of love and compassion that comes from the way you speak which I can bask in from the otherside of the world. Thank x
