@bellezeebubb yeah... i was thinking human beings will always be half developed. even a great artist with all his beauty like nureyev dies of aids because he liked sex with different people. together with his personal life which was very lonely (so I read). like many famous artists. almost never is there a great artist with a great balanced personal life. what does bellezeebubb mean. isnt beelzebub a character from the east?

@Pecut100 So he was gay, and had a very active sex life. Who is anyone to judge anyone's sexual orientation? He had a few sexual relationships with women as well, but isn't condemned for them because he didn't get HIV from them? He would be alice today if treatments available now were available then. The disease was new when he succumbed to it.

@bellezeebubb if he could have kept his hands of the men.....

Against incredible odds, with unequalled passion, discipline and determination, this wonder changed dance forever. He left an indelible impression on the world and will in his way live forever. Such a tragedy that his perfectly tuned body was wracked with
such suffering and disease at the end. Such a gift to the human race deserved far better.

Then I must be truly blessed as I was fortunate enough to have had the privilege of seeing this exquisite man dance very many times. And oh...... if only he were still here we should all be truly thrice blessed. No-one will EVER equal him.
R.I.P. Rudi.

I've just finished reading Julie Kavanaugh's 'Nureyev: The Life' and I am enfused with the presence of this man, in all his innumerable shades. I am left with a feeling of awe, much love, and sadness - seeing him conducting while so ill was heartwrenching. I highly recommend Kavanaugh's definitive biography which allows the reader to know him both in the light of this onstage life and the darkness of his personal existence. Bless his eternal soul. Thank you Lsyflower 13.
