Twickenham Film Studios, 7th January 1969. Written by John Lennon in 1967 (but accredited as a Lennon-McCartney composition), "Across The Universe" was recorded for the first time at Abbey Road Studios on 4th February 1968; in these sessions were recorded some rock versions of this song. In this version, the band starts to play the song but, at some point, they changed into an impromptu version of "Rock'n'Roll Music, released officially on "Beatles For Sale" album in December 1964.

I know it was a cameraman or whatever, but...please!!, the beates were performing rock and roll music for the first time in years!!!!!!

  • @edusc89 This film-track of the very real Beatles, and dozens of other similar musical gems, are outtakes from the Beatles movie 'Let It Be' filmed at Twickenham Studios in '69. These Beatles tracks have been available on rare vinyl bootlegs since 1970. Today, video versions are all over Youtube.

  • Awesome ! :D
