A couple pics of the dissasembly and re-assembly of the Land Rover 2.25 petrol in my 72 series III 88. the first video clip is from when i first got it running. a couple minutes at idle it developed a horrid ticking sound which turned out to be one of my tappets coming unadjusted. With the help of my golden retriever and 20 minutes later it ran fine as shown as in the last video clip.

  • thats the old head just skimmed and painted. there is a machine shop in southeastern CT that does a fantastic job

  • Is that a new head or did you clean/skim and paint the old one?

  • Cool, there's not enough S3 vid here on youtube.

    I have to say that engine looks clean! lol I'm going to be restoring a '77 S3 in a week or too, plan on putting up a few vids. :p
