Shame more folk dont go watch it live, unfortunatly F1 dont make good tv always look slow when we know that they are far from it :)
as for hp...454 and 510 chevs put out plenty :)

Maybe I mix some of these categories...
That a huge engine... But how many hp does he get? Because with a 9.3 liters, I doubt their is some serious limitation for cost and performance and safety... Just to avoid having 24 car of 1000 hp on a dirt track were every contact is legal...And it is not this hard to get with an engine of this size.

I'm at the stockcar racing often and the driver I am with got a 555 cid v8 in it, that's about 9.3 litre.
