I love it when an inspiration bug bites, or in this case klonked me over the head with a hammer. Another great song/anime duo in my opinion. That and out of all my attempts I think this one is the best. Though that might be my bias to an anime I love talking as well.

This is the best Gunslinger Girl AMV I've found. It's such an underrated series and there are sadly relatively few efforts dedicated to it. This song is a perfect match for the show's melancholy atmosphere. But furthermore, this AMV does an excellent job of replicating the juxtaposition the series had between what should be (Happy birthday: a wrapped present) and what is (Happy birthday: a handgun). Whoever did this had a perfect grasp of what Gunslinger Girl was about.
