  • Great explanation but it is important to always have some kind of melody with this technique or there is a risk of it sounding like exercises instead of music.

  • I have a question. I'm starting tapping now myself. And I find that if I hit the strings like a hammer on in a way. That it's a lot louder with my index finger than with my middle, is that normal at first? And also, do you have to do it like a hammer on, or can you rest your fingers on the strings then press down when you need too? Because that's what I'm leaning towards in my playing style and I want to know if it's right.
