The Dryerbox is a simple metal receptacle that collects flex exhaust hose neatly and safely behind the dryer. It lessens the real venting fire hazard, provides energy savings and makes the laundry room look and feel larger.

  • couldn't you just put like a brick or something behind the dryer so that it doesn't jam flat against the wall? You have to cut such a big space with this device.

  • You certainly can place a brick behind the dryer to keep the exhaust hose from getting crushed (as long as it doesn't vibrate out of space). If you want to do a little drywall work, though, installing the Dryerbox will allow the dryer to be pushed flush to the wall while protecting the hose. This can make the laundry seem a little larger with a little extra work.
