2011 was an amzing year for Viper West, and this video is a tribute to the entire team, our families, and all of our friendss and fans around the world! It is going to be wierd not aving the ACC demo teams around, but that is why videos like this will be special; it will let us remember to NEVER FORGET! The songs used in this video are by "Expolosions in the Sky" and "Alter Bridge", and all copyrights are owned by them... hopefully this viseo will stay up :-)

It is sad that they shut Viper West and the ACC shows down. This demo team inspired me to join the Air Force. Everybody who has ever been to a Viper West or ACC show knows it is an amazing experience.

@bucy21 As ahrimanes said the USAF is not sponsoring any other demo teams other than the F-22 and the Thunderbirds to try and help out with the defense cuts. It also frees up many Operational Readiness training sorties. I too would love to see the decision reversed, but in the many articles that I have read, it sounds pretty bleak. The Air Force is throwing away a great recruiting tool.

@Nappi91 The USAF is only sponsoring the F-22 demo team and The Thunderbirds next year. They've ended the F-16, F-15 and A-10 demo teams.

I REALLY hope that the USAF reverses this decision... Viper West and Viper East were always highlights of the shows I attended.

@Nappi91 At least for the meantime...ACC will only support the F-22 team and Thunderbirds in 2012 and possibly beyond.

Opi, that was excellent! You should think about video editing as your next career step, you have the EYE my friend. Good to see you got the footage from Thermal and I am sorry that I will not be seeing the Viper West Team out on the air show circuit in 2012. I hope to be seeing you though in some capacity in the air show world soon!
