Fort Lewis was the force to be reckoned with of the three, winning nine of the fifteen events, including the men's-A short track on Sunday.

"It was my first collegiate race, so I'm pretty happy with the result," said freshman Rotem Ishai of Fort Lewis College, the winner of the men's-A short track. "I wasn't thinking about winning the race, I was just thinking about the best move at the best time."

Ishai dominated the field, with only Colorado's Bryan Alders keeping up with him.

"[Ishai] is definitely a strong person," Alders said. "He's an Israeli national champion, so it was kind of an honor to be on [the back of] his wheel."

Ishai will head back to Israel to compete in the Israeli Nationals one week before the U.S. nationals in Banner Elk, NC on Oct. 23-28.
