Blender character rigging and motion capture test

Finally finished my human female character rig! Waiting until the new Blender 2.5 with hair dynamics comes out before I take her any further. Still working on softbody physics for clothing, so her wardrobe will have to wait too. To stop her getting too cold whilst she waits, I gave her a litle dance to do, and she looks good! :) Modeled, animated and rendered entirely in Blender 2.49b. Music mixed and final HD render in Sony Vegas Pro.

wow that is super, did you do all the compositing in Blender too?

How did you do the effect where the screen splits into 4 (or more) and the pieces fly away? Is it shadeless video textures on animated planes or is that done in compositor?

Thanks mate! You guessed right with the shadeless video textured planes. Varying blend scales, colours and textures via IPO curves allows all sorts of effects. I'm working with curved and deformed planes now too, which gets complicated but allows almost infinite flexibility. I eventually plan to release a free stand-alone .exe compiled in Python which allows videos to be manipulated easily and rendered out to .avi files, making this all available to everyone. Don't hold your breath though!
