Sesame Street Celebrates 40 Years

He is so 75, to be 76 this December 26.

Happy Birthday Sesame Street!!! This was my favorite show when I was a kid. When it started in 1969 I was 3 years old and loved it all the way through elementary school. Hope there are many more years of shows to entertain and educate kids. I learned so much from this show.

I heard the original theme song today and got the biggest smile on my face. I felt like a young child again. I couldn't help myself.

Congratulations to everyone ever involved with the production of SS, I have been a fan since I saw the first episode in 1969 as a nine year old, I love it today as a 49year old as much as I did then, too many of become serious adults, glad that hasn't happened to me.

Happy 40 years Sesame Street and good luck for 40 more. I and millions of others grew up watching Sesame Street and its amazing Carol Spinney has been there doing Sesame Street for so long. I really hope that they find someone to replace Elmo when the puppeteer Kevin Cash eventually retires along with Carol Spinney.
