Demo of Squeak Etoys running on the Apple iPad.
I extended the multi-touch support of the Squeak Virtual Machine, and added multi-touch support to Etoys. This is mainly an experiment in preparation of a future release of the OLPC kids laptop, which might be a touch tablet (so far Etoys was shipped on 1 million OLPC laptops).
iPad port by Bert Freudenberg, based on the VM by John McIntosh (smalltalkconsulting.com) and the latest Etoys 4.1 developer version (squeakland.org)

Can you describe the steps to install Squeak on the iPad?

@ccrosetti12: Download sources from isqueak.org, compile the app, sign with your Apple developer key, install, run. The compile-sign-install-run happens on a single button press in Xcode.

First someone needs to polish it enough so it could be submitted to the App Store for consideration. The source code is free, everybody could do that. They just need time and skill.

@BertFreudenberg
What speaks against publishing isqueak in Appstore?
