  • Jerry Falwell??? Oh come on . . .

  • Anyone trying to find "deep meaning" in the Bible invariably spouts nonsensical bullshit.

  • @blackestjake I certainly agree, Look how much further mankind would have been along if it hadn't been for religion holding back so much. Medicine, math, astronomy and I can go on and on. Also the idea that religion is what has kept mankind civil is a

horrible statement. I do not believe modern society needs an ancient book to tell us right from wrong. I think we can figure it out ourselves. I've always told my children that they are responsible for their own actions. We all our!

  • Wow this whole episode, the scholars have spoken over a seemingly unbiased academic discussion, yet the "mystics" are allowed to share their belief (pt. 11 of 12) & explain their message in this academic discussion..meanwhile the message of the Bible which is: the testament of Jesus Christ dying for the world's sins & all who acknowledge this and trust in him receive unbounding foregiveness, joy, and love from GOD, now on Earth & when they die...is left out? Keep an academic discussion academic.

  • @InocentBystandr What's the point? No one can make a criticism of the Quran. Non muslims aren't allowed in to the holy places and so aren't Muslims who want to research and think critically. Any commentator is issued fatwas to be killed.

  • So there is only 1 fact that can be concluded from this, that the Bible was written by many men over a very long time & has been translated from many other translations. It only shows us how the people who lived thousands of years go used an imaginary God to try to explain the things that at the time they had no knowledge of, thankfully we now have the answers to most of the questions & no longer require these outdated myths. It's time for us all to move on & leave the outdated myths to history

  • good work here

  • So if this tells us anything it's you can know this stuff is all made up shit and still believe it's true and you cannot live without it.

  • I didn't see any evidence that ever actually suggests that god exists. Bible. Old book with interesting stories. I get it. How does that make the idea of god relevant in today's society? It is primitive thinking and has had no place for hundreds of years.

  • @marzmerjan A thousand? Not 4,719 times? Or maybe 2,831 times? Or how about 833.78 times? Where the fuck did you get "1000"?

  • I"m gonna be honest, I skipped from part 9 to part 12. It was boring the shit out of me. Is there anything important in part 10 or 11?
