Two French human rights groups took the organizers of the Paris "Our Body" exhibition to court. The show displays cadavers that have been flayed to reveal the internal workings of the human body. The human rights activists say the unidentified bodies on display might have been from Chinese execution victims. [Cécile Thimoreau, Human Rights Activist]: "We think we are dealing with a major trafficking of men who were condemned to death. It was all designed to appeal to the voyeuristic interests of a public that wants to see the inside of a body. I am sorry, but we cannot accept that." The various bodies on display are preserved by "plastination." It is a lengthy process that replaces all body fluids with polymers to create odorless, long-lasting exhibits. Some of the corpses have been cut into neat cross sections; others are displayed in varying degrees of dissection. The judge gave the organizers 24 hours to shut down the exhibition or face a fine of 25,000 U.S. dollars each day they refuse to comply with the order. The judge also says the corpses should be handed over to the authorities under threat of a fine of over 60,000 U.S. dollars a day.

  • I paid $5 to see the exhibit in Oklahoma City. I found nothing perverse about it, but rather awe-inspiring and breathtaking. How sad one must speculate to garner a position based on shoddy information. But this is more about the Falun Gong's allegation's of mainland China harvesting organs; eh, NTDTV?

  • wait... was there any proof? So without proof of anything they are forced to not only shut down, but give up all of their cadavers... this is insane.

well, i can not imagine how it comes, that person dies, and nobody cant find family members, if they cant find them, then nobody looks for them, so those are bodies, who do not belong to anyone, and it is nothing shameful, that there are being used in educational purposes

  • @SweetBerry13 Google what an unclaimed body is. And if you think a government should the right to do what it pleases with the body of a prisoner you are insane. This has become a mini industry in China: these companies use cheap Chinese labor and unlclaimed bodies of the poor for these exhibits. I'll repeat myself again, this are often *unlcaimed* bodies, meaning they may have family that do not even know they have died and may want to know where they are. This includeds DEAD PREGNANT WOMEN.

  • @SweetBerry13 What the hell are you talking about?

  • @SweetBerry1 The company running the same type of show over here has admitted to using unclaimed bodies from China. I'm not talking about prisoners, though they could not deny that they were using those as well. I'm not sure about Body Worlds, but Premier at least has been using bodies *that were not donated*. This went to court un the U.S. Again, they were not all prisoners, just people that have family that do not know they are dead. I'm sorry but this is fucked up.

  • @SimKoning in China there still are death punishemt....human rights, yeah...people have gone crazy for those human rights, when murder all his life is allowed to do nothing in prison-human rights?it is stupidness!

  • @SimKoning what is the difference of the faith?

you think that musulman gets diffrent flu than christians do?ofcourse not!faith has nothing to do with this exbition!

  • @SimKoning it is for sciente, besides, those bodies wre DONATE to science! the same would be that you are giving blood to repicient-it is violence, because blood was taken from you!is it so?

  • @bustthewave guess it's just something I need to do more research on then. It's poorly presented in this video, which is unfortunate. And I think they could of done MUCH better to have a better spokes person other than the one they had. Kinda makes me feel bad for spending the $50 to go see it several years back (in the US not Frace).

  • The people behind this should be up for criminal charges for human rights violations.
