Climbing is serious work. The intense exertion can go on for hours, and even if your gear is keeping you dry, that doesn't mean you're not sweating. You burn up your sugars and electrolytes, and can become seriously dehydrated if you're not careful. One way to prevent it: Nuun tablets. They quickly dissolve in your water bottle, creating a fizzy drink which is quickly absorbed by your body, restoring the vital nutrients like Sodium and Potassium you need to keep functioning. From experience, I know how excrutiating it can be for your muscles to cramp up on the mountain - Nuun helped restore me to a functional state, and then kept me going for a safe descent. They're inexpensive, weigh nothing, take up little space, but could be vital to your safety when spending 7+ hours on the mountain.
I sweat even in -40 or 50c. It just doesn't matter...hehe! This is good stuff. I use it as well. Good stuff :o)
