ligers and tigons can reproduce i think most of the time females are sterile. they cannot reproduce with eachother however, they are called lili's and titi's

@soraspsp Tigon's is: that mother is lion and father is tiger.
Liger's is: that the father is a lion and mother is a tiger. Hope it helped you :)

Whats so funny? They just made the first completely artificial cell not too long ago. It's only a matter of time before we can genetically engineer an animal that looks exactly like a liger but fertile.

they cant reproduce because the male is almost infertile, but one day it will happen and there will be more ligers and tigons around. there have been reports of up to two hundred years of ligers and tigons. Plus if you think its unnatural then why was it documented all those years ago and if they were bred in captivity, it wold have been an accident or mistake i dont think they forcefully made either species hump the other?

genetically there are a lot of differences, but if the Father is a Tiger and mother Lioness the cub is Tigon and if the father is Lion and mother Tigeress then the cub will be a Liger. Ligers are bigger than Tigons and calmer.
