A printmakers lino cutting tool may have done the trick for gouging out those walled wire bits. They are a curved blade designed for gouging out trenches in lino. Gonna steal some of my girlfriends and see for myself!

LOL, I was wondering how long it would be before you whipped out a Dremel with an engraving tip! ;) BTW, the cordless Dremels are much slower by comparison. As for the knife blade, does anyone make a tiny enough chisel blade? Only other thing that comes to mind would be using a cutoff wheel to cut a bigger chisel blade down to make it small enough for this kit.

@JMChladek X-acto makes some sort of tiny "retractable" blade, but I think it needs a special knife to use. It does not have the standard flat attachment at the end. I also thought about cutting the blade down to size, but I kept picturing something going wrong and ending up with half a knife blade sticking out of my eyeball.
