@koalastephanie You dumb cluck! FACT! The ONLY people the police are duty-bound to protect are criminals in custody, and other persons in custody for such things as mental disorders. YOU the citizen have no recourse if the police fail to respond or fail to protect you from injury! Hartzler v. City of San Jose, 46 Cal. App. 3d 6 (1st Dist. 1975) is one example of 100's were courts have ruled that police are under NO OBLIGATION TO PROTECT ANY CITIZEN! They don't even have to respond!

i don't care how much hate i get from this - LAPD are generally fucking pigs. i believe that some may be righteous, however many of them are fucking power tripped, trigger happy douche bags and i hope the ones that line up to those titles get mutilated thanks to a slaughter house. LA is America's #1 city for police brutality. i feel worse for the cops that just do their job, but there are many of them who ARE ass holes and who do deserve to be fired, infact, burned.
