This is nothing but a FALSE, CONVENIENT gospel to please the masses and embrace every SIN....We are commanded to love all, and pray for everyone's salvation, but there canNOT be any compromise, I hope these convoluted leaders enjoy their short time of fame, that's what this is all about!.....Amazing where the devil will take you if you let him.....I wonder what happened in these people's childhoods
@OfWrathAndGrace i think when we say He is unchanging, we must recognize the intent of the words. Often times when we take literal translations we miss the intent or grossly change it. When we read "God is unchanging", if the literal meaning that God is literally unchanging, that cannot be the case,b/c if He didn't act yesterday to destroy somebody then He won't act tomorrow or the next to destroy somebody (but we see otherwise). "Unchanging" as in His love for us, His just nature,His attributes.
@sandely65 I guess the question is, does God change? One of God's attributes is He is unchanging. So, if there are people who He hated years ago, there are people who he hates now. God corrects those who He loves. Nowhere in Scripture do we see Him pouring His wrath out on anyone who He loves. Yet, His wrath is poures out on some.
@OfWrathAndGrace Well OF COURSE that doesn't mean He won't hold us accountable when we KNOW we're being stupid and evil. But He does not HATE any human being. God is not capable of the kind of hate that we are familiar with.
And how dare you throw Bible verses in my face like that. You can't just use any Bible verse to make your own point, that's manipulative. I want to know the story behind each of those Bible verses. Who was speaking to who? What was the issue?
@sandely65 Eph 5:6 "Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience."
Joh 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

@sandely65 Throw verses in your face? They specifically talk about people that God hates. Check the context.

@sandely65 ...Is it an issue that could apply to ANYBODY and not just the persons involved at that time?
I still hold to my original point. That God isn't angry at man. Only at the things they do.
