A simple tutorial on adding textures, color corrections and brightness/contrast adjusts to your finished illustrations in photoshop. I personally find that when I'm done creating a character or illustration in photoshop, I like to add a few little tweaks and adjustments to the colors and add a texture just to sort of give it a bit of a finished look. It's really easy to do and I find it adds a lot to the finished piece.

This was done in CS3, it should work in CS and higher.

Could you advise as to how to ad textures to the inner fill of a font in illustrator?
I am used to Fireworks and am finding myself constrained in illustrator.
