I put up side by side a 100 watt Incandescent Vs. a CFL Lamp, both lamps are '100' watt equivalent.
Soft White.

  • but what about the price of power factor correction for the CFL?

    For residential they do not meter for power factor but, because of the CFL push, power companies blanketed in there PF correction as part of the new higher rates. So weather I use CFL or Incandescent, I get fined the same amount. Commercial is another story and those rates are location dependent.

    100Watt Equivalent LED bulb is very expensive. If someone wants to send me one I will test it haha
