  • I kind of like this version actually--although it was a "mistake" he covered it really well and it kind of works--"touch me, let your darker side give in" is actually really sexy. Good job! Thanks for posting.

  • and that, for anyone who does not do theatre, is called a major save. When he heard that the music was haead of him, instead of just stopping , he picked right up where the msuic was without missing a beat- that is what makes an actor great!!!! Nice job Howard.

  • It seems to me....that McGillin always has a little....phlub when he's singing MOTN outside the Majestic. It's usually when they shorten the song, or in this case, starts in a different place, it just throws him off. I think he's sung that role so much that deviating from the regular length or starting from a different place just knocks him out his ingrained rhythm..

  • Howard's Phantom is so amazing, we can forgive a little miscue. Imagine doing a song the same way thousands of times, then being expected to do a radically abbreviated version this one performance. This didn't do justice to Howard or the song. I have his CD and his voice is wonderful, wish he did more recording.

  • It's just not Gerard but still really pretty

  • I don't think it was a mistake. I think they made it like that on purpose, Peeps..... Just sayin'

  • You know this is the second time I have seen howard "flub" during some special performance of "Music of the Night"....and I honestly I think it is because he really gets into the music and just wants to sing the whole thing. SOLUTION: Don't make weird cuts...he's the longest running Phantom on Broadway, I really don't think people will mind.

  • @spiderpigc Like I haven't heard that one before, jackass :P

  • @Dirschbag Hey Dirschbag, don't be such a douchebag...

  • My first broadway experience was Phantom of the Opera, with Howard McGillin. It made me fall in love with theatre, the Raul was okay, the Christine was good, but the Phantom was incredible. He may have messed up here, but if he did during the performance I went to watch, I either didn't notice, or completely forgot when he did point of no return.

  • Nice flub McGillin.

  • keep checking howards other phantom videos on here.. anything outside of the stage... news reels, promotions, he messes up quite a bit.... its rather funny to watch.. hes a great phantom though.. he just needs to stick to the stage and nothing outside of it
