This is a round shoulder dread, so the body is larger....so more bass and volume)

Yes, really happy. I can play all i want on it. Every guitar is different, may be your friend has played a bad one. I had a d33 that was not as good as this one...i always try the guitar i buy and never buy it without trying it.
