hi, I'm mainly a metal player and I've been seriously considering getting one of these to start playing but I'm not sure wich is best. Wich would you suggest for a metal/hard rock player? Jazz or Precision?

I like to play hard and fast, melodic punk style nofx, alkaline trio etc would you recommend the Squier vintage modified Jazz bass? Or the P-Bass?

@Depraved6 I'd go with a Jazz bass mainly because the 2 pickups give a smoother slap sound and you can turn the front pickup down a little for a brighter sound. Saying than, the whole P-Funk sound is down to a precision bass. A good low action is essential for slap, newish bright strings and make sure the neck pickup is low enough so the strings can't hit it which makes a bad clicking sound.
