  • Thanks all for your nice comments :-)

I always feel sorry for Colin. His enthusiasm for the role and the show is obvious, he just seemed to land the role at a bad time. He's been great in the Big Finish audios.

The Trials and Tribulations documentary on the Trial of a Time Lord DVD makes for really interesting viewing for anyone interested in the Colin Baker era.

  • Thanks. I must admit, this one was a bit of a mess around to see if I could get the feeling I was looking for, but I think it turned out pretty well :-)

  • @Dubzoomember exactly. it sorta happened again in a good man goes to war as River pointed out he could becoem something he hates as he almost did in Waters of Mars. he almost became like the Master

  • @lokiwolf44 to me they the new fans who aren't intot he older stuff 90% of the time just haven't been exposed to it. yeah there are some who just don't like it, but most of the time i find new who fans who don't like the older series just...haven't seen it. granted it was a VERY diffeerent era of tv so you need time to warm up to it if your used to the new series. but the new series is quite gratious about classic who continuity so it can point them towards the odl series (eg Time Crash)

  • @227060

Well, in Waters of Mars, you could argue that he was in control far too much.

  • @Dubzoomember fancy meeting u here. what about Midnight where the Doctor loses control completly. actually the best example is the Water's of Mars. in that 1 ep you see him lose control then take too much control aand well things go very badly

  • @1994PandaBeth yeah. i personally think the scripts hampered Colin and Sylvestor. thier big finish work has pretty much proved they were always up tot the task. actually despite nost being my fav on screen Dr i'd say Colin Baker's audio stories are the best ones. if u think about it the dr can regenerate 13 times so we can maybe attribute the sixth dr's attitude to a bit fo a mid life crisis ;)

  • whther its classic or new its all Dr Who is all awesome bcos the Doctor always has out backs

  • @codyw1 ah mate its all DW its all good. the Doctor is awesome whether hes Bill, Pat, Jon, Tom, Pete, Colin, Sylvestor, Paul Chris, Dave or Matt. its all the Doctor

  • @reilly2040 its true Drs 6-8 always get the short end fo the stick hope they get a role in the 50th anniv

  • @punk3sophia My favorite Doctor is Peter Davison though Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant & Matt Smith from the new series were brilliant as well :)

  • ah the old series had the best doctors, Tom Baker was definitely my faveroute
