This is video footage I shot at the Texas Renaissance Festival this year. Its from 11-29-2010. We had a blast. Its very hard to see everything in a day. Its in Plantersville / Magnolia Tx (couple miles from the small town). I'll tell you what events we participated in, so others may find them who are interested. We saw singing, dancing, theatrical plays, gypsy belly dancers, the mud pit, and a wedding. Also, we rode an elephant, ate turkey legs / sausage / pizza, drank beer. We saw the Clan Tynker from Santa Fe New Mexico perform their juggling clown magic act. There was also comedy wrestling, fire juggling performance, DANGER, lots of music instruments played for sound effects. and even riding a unicycle bike. We saw camels, horses, carriages, and a llama. I also have more renaisance video footage of the bagpipe player. We saw cartanic at dove meadow stage, sword fighting, jousting, wizards, fairies, vikings, even sexy belly dancers! I also filmed the giant swing and bungee jump. I went on the rock climb and got to see drench the wynch. There was a Shakespeare recital at the Globe Theatre. We must have walked in dozens of shops if not more. It was all good fun. I recommend it to anyone. The only thing I will say that was negative was the traffic and parking. When we left we were stuck in the parking lot for 2 1/2 hours. Major parking lot jam! I slept in the car through half of the wait though lol. It was still worth it. I do hope someone can work out the traffic though. Most of it seemed to be caused by several red lights in the town where this happened that were out. They were blinking, so this caused delay. The shows were all great. We saw some amazing acts. The sounds and smells are amazing. The Clan Tynkers and belly dancing gypsies were the best, but really there's so many good acts, its hard to remember them. If you ever have a chance to visit the Texas Renaissance Festival, do it. It really makes you feel like a time traveler!

  • I went on the weekend before you did & had a blast as well. You are right about not being able to see it all in one weekend...hehe! But what I saw, was amazing!! Watching yours makes me feel like I was there because of the similar things on your videos that I had experienced. Thanks for sharing ;)
