I want to say right away, I am truly overwhelmed with all the positive comments you have sent me concerning my video plans. Here on YouTube, over on Facebook, Google+, my blog, in emails. WOW!


Here are some more reasons why I have been thinking of changing.

1. YouTube itself is in the process of a huge design change.
2. This is a new year, obviously.
3. This week is the two year anniversary of this channel.
4. And a year or so ago, I was getting one thousand to two thousand views on each video, and recently it has dropped to half that amount.

Oh yeah, one more thing. I have been reading the book, "How to Shoot Video that Doesn't Suck" on my Kindle. And I have learned several things that suck in my videos and I want to make them better.

People want to get right to the meat of the video without a bunch of fluff. By the time my intro plays and I say, "Ahoy, I'm Capt Rob Lee and welcome to Pirate Lifestyle TV! Arrr" we are a good 30 seconds into the video. You know who I am and what channel you are watching. It is a waste of your time. And the same thing happens at the end of the video.

The main thing, I will continue with my fun and silly attitude. I will continue to be myself. I am not an actor and I cannot pretend to be someone else. But I will be tweaking the videos, changing things up a bit to keep things interesting.

It is a crazy world and I know you are very busy. YouTube makes it easy to like and share my videos with your friends, just click the buttons. And if you have the time, leaving a comment is awesome. I read every comment. Thanks.

Your view dropped because you stopped with the "arrrr". We all became accustomed to, and enjoyed (after becoming accustomed to), your intro.

I'll continue to watch as long as you don't start acting like an actor (I'll watch anyway). Your being "you" is just too cool to pass up, but anything else and I would feel like I lost something. My wife tells me that I am too much of an asshole, so when I come over to your videos and see a really nice guy being, well, nice, it motivates me to be, nicer.

Even though this is a family show, I say bring back the hot babe butts in the intro! Butts are common to all families and should not be a problem. But for us salts I guess I should be reffering to them as "bums".

I really enjoy the shows that are more directly related to living aboard. Cost's, maintenance, livaboard relationships, politics involving livaboard, living on the hook or dock, stocking up, rationing, security, fishing, diving, rough water, what to wear or wearing nothing lol ! ARRRR!
