'The Magician's Nephew' To Be Next 'The Chronicles of Narnia' Movie

Time for a little Narnia news -- the Magician's nephew will be the next CS Lewis Adventure -- get all the deets up next!

Hey there Clevver Movie peeps, I'm Chelsea Cannell here with news on the next Narnia Flick. Word is Walden media recently confirmed that the next Narnia Flick will be the Magician's Nephew instead of The Silver chair as many fans expected. Walden revealed that they are currently talking to fox and the CS LEWIS Estate about the prospect of doing the Nephew... and if they can all agree to terms the next step will be to find the right scribe. So unfortunately, it looks like it'll apparently still be a couple of years before the next one according to Walden's presiden-te.

The Magician's nephew, believe it or not, is actually the 2nd most popular book in the series with The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe coming in at #1. due to the fact that it is an origins story and has a lot of details about the actual wardrobe and how it came to be, Walden feels it'd be the best fit for the next flick, even over the Silver Chair.

I think this means that the Silver Chair will never be... They never make an origins movie except at the very beginning or very end

Well I think that the magician's nephew should be first because they have started the lion the witch and the wardrobe even know the lion the witch and the wardrobe the 2nd book of the the the chronicles of narnia and the magician's nephew is the first book of the series and it tells us about how narnia came to be and who were the first people who discover it. I hope that this movie will be first than the silver chair.

@AaronsEve I think they should have followed the series too. That way there would have been more lead up to Lion, Witch & Wardrobe and The Last Battle. But truly I think they should have done The Magician's Nephew after Lion, Witch, Wardrobe. It would have meshed better.

C.S lewis wrote the book based on his Christian faith. Magician's nephew would be the beginning of the world of Narnia, it should be interesting! :)
