Safety Dance song from the Cold War Era. Not too safe pilots here. The DC-9 on 0:33 that left the tail on runway after stalling it low makes you think. How come you stall an airplane with all kinds of stickpushers and anti stall devices? Pilot frozed on the controls and didn't add power when needed to accelerate I guess. Happened a few times before CRM came up.

Bit more about it: It was one of those "flour bombing" competitions, he was a local TV reporter and well... he was standing were he shouldn´t. In fact, yes, he recovered with just a bump. On longer videos you can actualy see him conscious again after a short while. A BIG fright, but fortunatelly just that.
Some more videos pleeeease Chrasman!!

in 2:46 that jet that the tubes coming out of was refueling the f16
CFITOM, that DC-9 was actually a Douglas Company airplane that inexplicably failed to execute a landing flare- he just drove it on. But the engineers made the fuselage-tail longerons a LOT stronger after they saw that film. There's a persistent rumor that one of the 5 or 6 Company men in that aircraft was using the rear lav--- but that would be too funny to be true. Look how OLD that film is- consistent w/ the first DC-9s development era. That's Douglas engin'r film. Pilot got fired I think.
