  • This was one of the best video testimonies I have heard. Perhaps the best.

I must say that sometimes ad hominem is warranted against the charlatans, however. You see, you are intelligent,. So many are not. The false teachers & preachers continue to pump out wrecked minds of children and it seems endless unless we somehow can stop this.

I think the movie "Jesus Camp" makes me realize this the most. Many many children cannot de-program themselves.

  • loved this series, could you post a list of books you recommend?

I am an atheist, and I don't say "There is no god", the exitence of god is ultimately unknowable. I will say "The Western religions version of God doesn't exist" because this is something I can say confidently. I'm technically and agnostic atheist (Though technically, every atheist is an agnostic atheist.) Agnosticism is not a seperate belief from atheism or theism. Agnosticism is a statement about what is knowable and theism/atheism is a statement about what you believe.

  • This is the 4th deconversion story I've watched. They all spoke to me in different ways, and in the same ways sometimes. (I watched Evid3nc3's, TheraminTrees', and Laci Green's as well). I'm not going to say one was "best" or "better" than the others, but this was definitely nice to hear. I think it's always nice to hear a deconversion story. Because they're always different, which makes them interesting and unique. I'm actually inspired to post my own once I have the chance. Good job.

  • Thanks for posting this. I'm sort of the opposite- used to be very skeptical, and now am drawing toward a more Biblical Christianity. I'm still in doubt about many things, but it's nice to see a community of like-minded folk. I'm actually starting to find comfort in the unknown, and I don't like the idea of saying "there is no god" or "there is no ultimate objective meaning." I find it absurd to think the universe randomly created thinking beings.

  • Great stuff. I really enjoy deconversion videos since I've never lived in a religious society and the mindset is so bizarre and unfamiliar to me. The journey from madness to reason is intriguing.

Also, embrace your doubts is good advice.

  • your story is really moving. this was a great series =]

how would you talk to a pentecostal about his set of beliefs? i dunno if you are familiar with it. but i have a friend who is a pentecostal and anyway just wondering if you had anything

  • Great stuff. Honest, relevant, and informative.

I've been agnostic since I was about 7 or 8--many, many moons ago. Back then, it was difficult to talk to anyone about these things. Am happy that the web gives us all this platform to help those of us who harbour doubts, those of us in search of, those of us without, or with a grossly underdeveloped, or with a recessive "God" gene.

    Long live doubt!

  • Excellent videos friend. Thank you for sharing such honesty.
