Preserve Alligator - BP DEEPWATER HORIZON OIL SPILL AFTERMATH

Northern Shore of Lake Pontchartrain - Oil slicks from BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill and countless tar balls washed up on July 7th following a hurricane in the Gulf. This is one of many videos illustrating environmental impact sent to GCCF along with hundreds of pages of information describing the damage including over 40 pictures and physical tar balls. Though they acknowledged the oil and tar balls, we were informed by the GCCF/BP that they cannot link damages to their exploded drilling rig.

That first alligator (on the deck) looked like it was missing a piece of its lower jaw. Whatever reason, the remnant crude oil can't be good for the animals.

@PreserveDr This alligator showed up in this pond about 7 years ago with the broken lower right jaw and blind in the right eye. I assume it was an injury from a fight with another alligator. This sheen covered 150 acres of my property on July 7, 2010 when a passing hurricane raised the sea levels by 4 to 5 ft. Since then my marsh has died from the high water line downward and all of the crabs, fiddler crabs and small mammals have disapeared.
