The annual Hartford Walk Against Hunger is the largest fundraiser dedicated to fighting hunger and malnutrition in the state of Connecticut. Each year, secular and religious groups join together to raise money, with a goal in 2008 of more than $450,000. These groups include Christians, Jews and a sizable contingent from the Muslim Coalition of Connecticut. The ability of such diverse groups to work together toward a single goal highlights the value of interfaith cooperation in America's rich civil society.
Fun! It's great to see people working together for something worthwhile! Great editing too.
