@MOSKII58 I believe he was or still is married to Rp's daughter. A fine player he is . Saw them in 98 and it was just chaos. Ina good way !

@Cincinnatus1869 too bad we lost Michael Lee, lightening rarely strikes twice but Zep had two great drummers only to lose them both in their prime..I heard that the bass was a relative of Plants??
-
@MOSKII58 Charlie Jones . He was good but he could not quite get into a JPJ groove at least I didnt think so .
-
oh ya? check out there live version in royal albert hall 1970
-
Too fast, JPJ and Bonham woulda known to keep it more laid back.
-

@67goldtops: Agreed on the first point. Even in the studio Page was always fast but loose, which is why I don't hold it against him in live performance. As to the second point, I'll have to disagree. I routinely misspell simple words (like calendar, commitment, their and there) when I'm typing fast, let alone trickier ones. And yet I won spelling bees in school, scored in the 97th percentile on the verbal portion of the GRE, and more or less write for a living. So go figure.
Jimmy oh Jimmy..busting it out like in 68
