Patrick Wolf : Divine Intervention & Overture : London Palladium 15 November 2009

Patrick Wolf performs Divine Intervention & Overture live at the London Palladium on Sunday 15 November 2009.

The first song, Divine Intervention from forthcoming album The Conqueror, was performed by Patrick and the string section from behind the Palladium safety curtain. So for the first 1 minute and 55 seconds of this video all you will see is a safety curtain bathed in blue light. The visuals get somewhat more exciting once the curtain has gone up! Divine Intervention is really beautiful though, so I would recommend not skipping straight to the start of Overture at 1min55s!

The show that followed was pretty incredible in every way, and featured, in addition to Patrick's regular band, the aforementioned six piece string section, a choir and guest appearances from Florence Welch (Florence and the Machine), Alec Empire and the wonderful Gwendoline Christie as the Voice of Hope! Patrick declared that it was the best show he'd ever played. Who am I to argue?!
