My 15-year-old daughter Josie singing from Act One of Purcell's 'Dido and Aeneas'. We used the old Dent edition and I accompanied - VERY badly.

  • wow. that is some gorgeous singing. but i agree that the smiling has to go. expression of text is key. other than that, hurry up and audition at a decent music school.

  • ke bonito cantas!

io tengo k cantar esta aria i no me sale XD

    felicidades

  • if i may, try to use more breath support. this helps you carry out the full length of some of the holds, most specif. on the word languish, bar 33. and if you can, use a cresc/decresc over those 5 bars. same with the word guessed at bars 44-47. also go back and look over your score carefully, specif. at the dotted-8th/16ths that occur... its easy to flip them around, but they really need to be more precise. id give more, but im reaching my limit, lol. keep singing, great voice for 15!

  • im doing that opera this saturday!!!!!! im so happy

  • i agree with jfbecks17, you need to stop smiling. you probably don't realize you're doing it, i know i do that sometime when i sing to get really nicely placed vowels. just really keep sad thoughts in your head about torment and pain and your face will work itself out.

  • fabulous singer. Just don't perform it with that face! You look too happy. Also, you are coming off of your breath a little too forcefully. I can hear a puff of air coming out after you stop singing. Might want to work on that. Other than that, you are fabulous. Def. continue singing.

  • She's very taltented. Taking lessons I hope? Well keep going. I started when I was 13 and didn't get lessons until a couple years ago, now I am 24. Hehe. Late in the game, but no bother. Hope she is very successful by her definition of success.

  • Blimey! Fantastic voice for a 15 year-old. Keep it up, there is real potential there!

  • Nice voice are you mezzo -soprano ?

  • very good, but the happy face does detract from the effect - pass on the whole feeling and emotion of the setting rather than just producing the music well.
