Great BLOOPER from DANIEL BOONE with Fess Parker and Jimmy Dean

Great "time warp" blooper they left in the broadcast. The show was set, of course, in the late 1700s. In the episode "Delo Jones" (3rd season, 66-67), we see Fess and Jimmy saying thier farewells at the end of the episode. As Jimmy walks off in this rustic setting, somehow they missed the jet plane vapor trail at the upper left of the screen!

It could have been an asteroid skipping through our atmosphere. YouTube has a video of one from 1972... Grand Teton Meteor (copy and paste in search and see for yourself.

Actually contrails were first observed in 1918.

Hjet engines are not required for their formation, only high altitude and internal combustion engines.

Piston engine aircraft also make contrails.
