We haven't learned a thing in this Country,, STILL happening now in Afganistan! Was not a surprise to me in the film when Dan Ellsberg did NOT get the support from the American people he had hoped,, I know the feeling,,, No wonder Afganistan is happening! Are Americans That Asleep?! That,,,drugged, by Consumerism?! We are Screwed!

It means that we, the USA, got involved in what was a civil war...we mistakenly thought the commies were coming to get us - wrong - it was a war between north and south vietnam - so we invaded vietnam - bombed the hell out of them - millions of vietnamese and tens of thousands of americans were killed - the secretary of defense during that time, years later admitted it was a mistake - thats why he said WE were the wrong side - and yes we were evil - only real patriots can admit their mistakes

@Zepher50 Unfortunately, I disagree . "We were the wrong side " means that we took the 'bad' side, - the side that promoted war to "save face", instead of for any legitimate reason. If you watch the movie (which is on Netflix), you will get the whole scope. Unfortunately, now we are in Africa - why? Perhaps for the same reasons we were in Vietnam - fear, and seeking natural resources.
