Americana: Board Youth

He's 3 feet 8 inches of gnarly. Meet Asher Bradshaw, the youngest skateboarding phenom we've ever seen. While most kids his age are just learning to count on their hands and feet, 7-year-old Asher is shredding the skateparks of Los Angeles. "I always thought that maybe he had a real gift," said his father, Tom, who is, of course, immensely proud of
his budding son. "I just enjoy watching him ... 'cause he's the littlest guy!" His parents — who thought he was going to be a swimming star when he was even younger — now have dreams of X Games glory and Shaun White-type fame for their prodigy of the pavement. By Hasani Gittens and Joe Stevens
